WHAT IS LIFE COACHING?

As a qualified life coach, I empower people to overcome their challenges and achieve their goals. I provide a unique mix of therapy and practical strategies to help you achieve the life you want.

 

We'll work together to identify your goals, plan the steps you need to take to get there, identify any barriers and build a personalised toolkit.

As a life coach, I provide the scaffolding support you need to win.  

I specialise in alcohol, emotional eating and ADHD coaching, so will support you to change your relationship with alcohol or food, or develop skills to manage your ADHD and address the negative thoughts or beliefs that drive your behaviour.   

You control our sessions, based on what you want to achieve. We focus on your personal development and what you need to improve your wellbeing.

I use an evidence-based and trauma-informed approach that incorporates psychology and counselling therapies such as cognitive-behaviour therapy, mindfulness, client-centered therapy, narrative therapy and values-based therapy.

 

My goal is to create a positive and trusting relationship with you by providing a supportive, non-judgemental and confidential space for you to be yourself and speak your truth.

I treat all of my clients with the same positive regard, believing everyone has the skills and abilities they need to flourish.     

Appointments are available in my welcoming consultation room at Banyo or via Telehealth online.

My qualifications

  • Diploma of Alcohol and Other Drugs Practice (2023)

  • Understanding ADHD (2023)

  • Graduate Diploma of Psychology (2006)

  • Bachelor of Business - Communications (2002)

  • 20 years working in corporate coaching and change management

  • 2 years as a Weight Watchers leader  

  • Personal lived experienced of childhood trauma, emotional eating disorder, alcohol use, depression, anxiety, infertility, pregnancy loss, adult ADHD diagnosis and mother of neuro-divergent children

  • Wrote and self-published "Welcome to ADHD", a simple guide to help adults understand and share their diagnosis 

  • 30 years of self-help through counselling, psychology, psychiatry, hypnosis and art therapy

  • Personal interest, research and study into trauma-informed care, ADHD and autism management, relaxation techniques, holistic healing and colour therapy.  

This is your journey so we'll work together to develop the right therapeutic approach for you, guided by what's worked for me and other clients.
